If the existing concrete is structurally sound or can be repaired, DuraStone provides a beautiful new appearance without the cost, demolition, and disruption of removing and replacing concrete. Water drains through the tiny spaces between the stones instead of pooling on top, helping create excellent traction in both wet and dry conditions. In cold climates where freezing rain can plague the forecasts in spring and fall, DuraStone by VUBA minimizes slippery areas; however, if you have gutters or other areas of drainage, ice may still form when the air temperature freezes water before it has a change to flow through.
Yes. DuraStone is a permeable resin-bound stone system that allows rainwater to pass through the surface. This helps reduce puddles and standing water while maintaining a clean, attractive appearance. It also makes it perfect for pool decks.
DuraStone is more flexible than traditional concrete surfaces, but because it’s installed over concrete, movement in the underlying slab can still affect the surface. That’s why repairing and stabilizing the concrete beforehand is an important part of the installation process.
